An upcoming event: The 8th European Congress of Conservation Biology
On 6-10 July, the conservation biology community will gather in Leiden, the Netherlands, for the 8th European Congress of Conservation Biology (ECCB'26). Bringing together researchers, policymakers and practitioners, this event will provide participants with a great opportunity to present scientific research, exchange ideas and network.
With the theme of protecting biodiversity in the spotlight, the event's agenda includes symposia, roundtables, panel discussions, workshops, parallel sessions and poster sessions.
Part of this programme will be the roundtable “How can conservation research support the European Subregional Technical and Scientific Cooperation Support Centre (TSCC)?” featuring the following speakers:
- Kinga Öllerer (HUN-REN CER);
- András Báldi (HUN-REN CER);
- Gregoire Dubois (Knowledge Centre For Biodiversity; JRC);
- Jorge L. Ventocilla (RBINS).
On 7 July, this roundtable, supported by the CO-OP4CBD project, will explore opportunities for cooperation and coordination in peer-to-peer matchmaking and knowledge exchange, including the integration of traditional ecological knowledge (TEK) and the engagement of its holders within the European context.
