About

This training explored UN CBD governance structures, including the newly established standing subsidiary body under Article 8(j), as well as the role of the new centres for technical and scientific cooperation. In addition, the training took a closer look at the role of traditional ecological knowledge in biodiversity policies and provided practical advice on strengthening the participation of representatives of IPLCs, experts from indigenous/local communities, civil society and academia in UN CBD processes.
